Ice Man was helping clean up Dr. Light's basement one day when he came across a map with clues towards the location of King's great ancient treasure.

"Aha! If I can get this treasure, I'll be able to impress Roll enough to go on a date with me!" Ice Man blurted out loud because it somehow didn't occur to him that one of Dr. Wily's Sniper Joes would be spying through the window and overhearing him.

Ice Man then embarks on this treasure hunt around the world, while Dr. Wily sends his Sniper Joes, Mets and Pottons to try to steal the map from him!
