Final Boss Profile : Requiem

Requiem is a giant robot created for humanity by Rogue Man, who returned to his own era and saw the world in chaos during his absence.

However, the anger over the war was directed not at humans, but at robots. Consequently, anti-robot factions have gained the upper hand in Rogue Man's world.

A grim atmosphere prevailed, with robots—as well as pro-robot factions and cyborgs—facing purges and assassinations at the hands of the anti-robot faction.

At the same time, as Earth's environment rapidly deteriorated, Rogue Man and the other Robot Masters sought to locate records left by the late Dr.Light and Dr.Wily, hoping to find a habitable environment for humanity beyond Earth.

To this end, they manufactured and mass-produced the Requiem units and even attempted to forge a peace treaty with the anti-robot faction, all while working for the sake of humanity.

However, the anti-robot faction refused to accept peace solely because they were robots; in the ensuing conflict, a tragedy unfolded in which Proto Man and Bass were killed by anti-robot faction.

Despite such a difficult process, they finally discovered an environment where humans could live, and they first relocated the DLNs, excluding a portion of the pro-robot faction and Roll, and succeeded.

However, the anti-robot faction, offended by these actions, launched a terrorist attack. As a result, some pro-robot factions including Roll and support robots including Rush are all destroyed, and Rogue Man eventually becomes enraged, modifies Requiem for combat, establishes Dimensions with the goal of judging humanity, and wages war against the anti-robot faction.

From this point on, Rogue Man began to refer to himself as the villain Rogue Man rather than Mega Man, the hero. Nevertheless, he safely expelled the pro-robot faction from Earth by sending all of humanity who had shown him favor to that planet.

After continuing to slaughter humanity in this manner, the anti-robot faction eventually capitulated to Dimensions. Dimensions's executives attempted to accept surrender, but instead of surrendering, R sent the diplomat's head to the anti-robot faction, continuing to demonstrate his determination for the annihilation of humanity.

During this process, Dimensions's executives fought each other to stop Rogue Man's madness, but Rogue Man instead defeated Dimensions's executives. However, while continuing his massacre, Rogue Man accidentally discovered the corpse of a girl resembling Roll, and fell into despair upon realizing that he had committed absurd acts while consumed by madness.

Rogue Man fell into despair, feeling as though he had effectively destroyed the future. On the one hand, in an attempt to find a solution, he tries to locate the Time Skipper that Wily created and used to kidnap him, but there was simply no way to do so. Furthermore, they scrapped all but one of the "Requiem" units designed for warfare, demonstrating their resolve never to commit the slaughter of humanity again. But the anti-robot faction no longer despises robots but fears them, so they live in hiding, and Dimensions could not find them.

as a last resort, Rogue Man—along with the rest of the Dimensions unit—intended to travel to the past, locate Time Skipper, and turn back time to find the best possible course of action. On the other hand, he wanted Mega Man, Bass, Proto Man, or even Duo to kill him.

Even though King's army was forcibly mobilized, Time Skipper failed to be completed, and instead, Re was remodeled for war use to fight Bass (or Mega Man) and severely damaged Mega Man (or Bass).

Explanation of the Ending

Thus, Rogue Man engages in a final battle with Bass (or Mega Man), who was injured in the fight with Requiem, and is ultimately destroyed by Bass (or Mega Man). Just before shutting down, Rogue Man confesses his true purpose and the regrets arising from becoming the strongest to Mega Man and Bass respectively, after which it ceases to operate.

Mega Man and Bass accepted his advice, erected a grave for the Dis, and returned to their respective laboratories.

Meanwhile, amidst the great battle, Proto Man had already rescued Dr.Light and Dr.Wily and sent them back to their own labs.

Although Mega Man was unable to use his slide or charge shot for a time due to moderate damage, Mega Man continued to fight against the villains.

Bass remained at Wily's laboratory, unable to engage in combat while undergoing repairs. consequently, Bass lost the ability to perform a double jump.

Proto Man is still wandering, but he carefully considers Rogue Man's advice to get some maintenance done.

Roll went shopping with DLN and gathered materials for Dr.Light.

Finally, the group gathered one night and revived all the deactivated Dimension's, bringing the story to a close.
